Are the preset prices live prices?
No. The defaults are illustrative examples, not current local prices or verified averages. Enter your own electricity and fuel prices before relying on the estimate.
Does changing currency convert local prices?
No. The currency selector changes how results are displayed. It does not perform currency exchange or fetch local energy prices. When changing currency, also update the price inputs to match that currency.
Can I select my vehicle by make and model?
You can enter the make, model and year manually, but automatic vehicle lookup is not connected yet. Battery capacity and efficiency must be checked and entered manually.
Why is charging loss included?
Some electricity drawn from the charger is lost during charging. The calculator includes an allowance, so electricity drawn is higher than the energy stored in the battery.
Does this calculate total ownership cost?
No. It estimates electricity and fuel only. Purchase price, finance, insurance, servicing, tax, tyres, depreciation and charger installation can change total ownership cost.
